The date for the troop and the crew pine wood derby contest will have to be changed again it was suggested for the 16th of March but as per email not possible , the crew is having a meeting on Sunday 3/4/07 at the church from 2:30-5pm, we will go over our calendar and compare it with the troop and packs calendar so we can get this contest on a date when it is convenient for all.

Hey everyone

I just wanted to let you know of some changes to the calendar. This coming weekend was originally supposed to be the Lock-in. It has been moved from this weekend (the 10th -11th) to the following weekend (the 17th -18th). We will be having a meeting on the 11th from 2:30 - 5:00 at UMC. The pinewood derby was scheduled for the 11th, but has been moved to March 11th. The hike that was scheduled for the 18th has been moved to March 18th.

We are planning on having elections at the meeting coming up on the 11th, so if we could get a full member turn-out it would be great.

Minutes - January 15th Meeting

Attendance: Meredith, Keith, Bobby, Kim, and Heather.

Here are the items that we discussed.....

Lock-in:

Place: United Methodist Church

Time: Feb. 10th at 5:00 pm - Feb 11th at 11:30 am

We will be participating in Scout Suday on February 11th at the church

Food, Fun, and Sleep

- Dinner: pizza

- Breakfast: cold cereal, bagels or waffles, pancakes, and bacon (TBA)

- Snacks: chips and dip, popcorn, goldfish, munckins, cheese doodles

- Drinks: soda (Pepsi, coke, neatea, water, etc)

- Games: Scene Its, Chess, Twister, Card Games, Life, Manhunt, etc.

- Movies (comedy?)

- What to Bring: sleeping bag, pillow, clothes, uniform, etc.

- Sleeping Location: across from room 8

- Party Room Location: room 8

Pine Wood Derby (Troop 101 and Venture Crew 100)

Time: Meeting at 2:30 on February 11th to set up track; 3-4pm weighing; 4-6pm race; ending at 6:30

- Both troop and crew will supply food and drinks

Tiger Tumble

Time: February 27th: 1pm to 3:30pm

Volunteers are needed for this event...if you are interested in helping please contact Meredith and she will provide you with information

Cub Scout Pine wood Derby

Time: January 20th @12:30

At the end of the meeting we had fun playing dodge ball and wall ball

Hello Everyone,

We will be having a hike on Sunday the 14th to Mountainside Park in Pomptom Plains. We will be meeting in the parking lot of the United Methodist Church at 12:30 and hopefully will return around 4:30. Everyone going should bring a bagged lunch to eat along the way.

So far, I have received some responses on this problem on two camping trips on same weekend....

Some of us are not going to the cope course but going to the pack camping, and some want to do the cope course only; Some want to do the cope course first and then go camping with the pack and troop. Depending on numbers of members and leaders available, it could be done as separate camping or just doing a couple of hours at cope.

(Note: Cope is a requirement for venture advancement and is a great team work experience and alot of fun).

Next time we meet we will discuss..............

Please be advised that our meetings have been changed to no garden project on saturday, and the sunday meeting to work on the pine wood derby cars have been changed back to sunday at 2:30pm.

Due to the crew being at the church garden project from 1-3pm on saturday, we are doing the pine wood derby work on saturday after 3pm to about 5 or 6pm on Saturday. This will free up everyones sunday.

Please confirm whether you can make both events.
